Is anyone doing VLA or virtual learning academy?
I need someone's help who is doing virtual learning academy and is a senior or taking english IV, poetry, short stories, marine bio, forensics, art history, world history, family studies, student leadership, microsoft word 2003, or computer tech. is anyone gonna watch oprah's leadership academy for girls this saturday on abc ?
i watch it at monday ...it was awesome ...they want to learn and want an education ...there's an encore at 8:00p.m this saturday ..so if you watchin
yeah, i watched it on monday too. i was up all night watching it. i just couldnt seem to change the channel to watch what i was going to watch cause i thought it was very moving and inspirational. it had me thinking "wow, poor kids. i want to help them out" and i was so happy for them when they found out they got into the school. it really makes us think about how spoiled we are and how we take things for granted far too easily. im so watching it again.
Should Jon Stewart be considered a prime example of successful leadership and communication?
He is the host of TDS, a one-time host of the Academy Awards, and one of the most influential personalities of our time---a political satirist and a person with rare charisma and exceptional communicative skills.
However, professionally speaking, does Jon Stewart really possess characteristics that define a successful leader/communicator? What are they? How can an average person learn from him? Please share your thoughts!
Yes. He found an audience in the demographic that is often overlooked when it comes to the news, and appealed to them. His show is a prime example of a reason not to listen to stereotypes and assumptions. People assumed that the 14-30 crowd would never be interested in the news, and he found a way to make them interested. That says a lot.
