How do I receive a manual for Acer Aspire 5520 laptop?
When I got my laptop, it was sealed in a box but without any manuals or accessories. I was wondering if they came with manuals or do I have to get them seperate?
i would not buy a mac. my biggest problem with them is that hen it comes time to upgrade, you need to buy an entire new system, and forget about servicing it if something should go wrong.
As for PCs, i would stay away from Dell. Hp and Sony are good, but expensive, I currently have 2 toshibe laptops, and they both run great. Acer is a good brand for the price.
Mac Cetainly can get viruses, and it would be foolish to thin that they can';t. they can only hype that because Mac dosen;t own a big enough share of the market for hackers to waster their time making viruses for them. Yeah macs may have the "seal of approval" for video editing, but they only edge out PCs by a very small amount, and what about all the other things that Macs can't do... useful stuff like AutoCAD, and not so useful stuff like gaming. When was the last time you heard a serious gamer buying a MAc. I don;t know if i ever have. My PC is now 2 years old, and i can still play the latest games out there. supreme copmmander, oblivion (1280, hdr) Battlefield 2 (1280 and no lag), Company of heroes (1280 max settings 55 average FPS) this was all possible because i have been able to upgrade my PC all along. of my original build, all thats left is the hard drive and the sound card. I even got a new motherboard. try that with a MAC.
What makes MAC so special anyway? they use Intel processors now! it is basically a PC with a different OS that you can;t upgrade! and good luck trying to fix your MAC the first time it crashes! Yes MACs DO crash. I've done it many time by overloading it with math problems. it took my PC 30 seconds to do what took a MAC desktop nearly 10 minutes to do! i mean if you really want to throw your money away into a proprietary pit then by all means do so!
Pay attention to the components inside as well as the brand name. the best laptops now use Core2Dou processors, but athlon and turion and even CoreDuo processors are still good and cost much less. get enough RAM. if oyu get Vista, don;t go below 1GB and you should be fine, but 2 Gb would be better. If you can get one with dedicated graphics, all the better.
Acer 5630 ? bluetooth enabled ? bluetooth button situated onfront of the laptop whats its use ?
Got a brand new Acer 5630. wi-fi etc only thing is ? if i need to buy certain accessories for the damn things o work its one big waste of money ? i have (SLIDE) buttons on the front of the machine. bluetooth/Wi-Fi/Wireless.
When i click the bluetooth on it says no bluetooth device found . tried searching for the laptop while holding the button in .. still nothing ? anyone know where to go from here?
Have you made sure the Bluetooth Adapter is installed?

Device Manager,
Hardware tab
Device Manager
There should be an item in the list called Bluetooth or Bluetooth Adapters. If it's not there, you have to install it using the CD that came with the Laptop. If it is there, you need to set the laptop to be discovered by other Bluetooth devices, that can be done by the Bluetooth Software supplied with the Laptop OR the Windows Bluetooth Settings Manager (Control Panel, Bluetooth)
