You've got pleanty of land. There are many airports smaller than fifty acres. Your problem is going to be with your proximity to ABQ. Check with the county planning commission first is what I'd suggest. They should have an airport master plan. The FAA requires them for all approved airports. The other question will be local ordinances but my guess is that around Alburquerque outside the city limits you won't have any problems there. It's that four miles west of ABQ that will be the tough one. Not saying impossible but check into that first. You know you can visit the control tower at ABQ right? Talking to the controllers would not be a bad idea.
