How do I get Adaware SE Personal to download updates?
When I open this progam, I am prompted to check for updates as it has been 30plus days since I have last done so.
But when I do, it always tells me that the program could not download the updates. My internet connection is ok as it does not bother other programs.
Updates are no longer available for Ad-Aware SE, BUT go to the link provided, and you can download the update file from there, and there you go back in business, just type in the search bar Ad-Aware, and download the definations file for SE, good luck.,
Is it a good idea to delete the quarrantine files in Adaware SE personal?
I noticed a while ago that adaware would save the quarrantined items and im just wondering if deleting them would have any effect on anything.
The reason AdAware doesn't just delete the files is that they are possibly something you need. So use your computer for a while after the quarantine, and if your computer is still operational, you can probably delete the files safely. If you quarantine a file and find out that you need it (because your computer crashes or something without it) you might want to unquarantine the file and find some other solution (like reloading the operating system).
I usually just delete them, though, and I've never had any problems.
Can I use both spybot and adaware se personal on my pc?
Right now I have adaware se personal. Because I have heard its better than the new version 2007. But I want additional protection on my pc......
Yes its realistically better since they arnt the same and scan differently.
