Adobe Reader?
I have tried to get sight of plans relating to our development to do this you need Adobe Reader which I have installed. However when trying to access these plans I get "Error 1714" appear on my screen. I have tried uninstalling Adobe Reader but it wont uninstall does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Having tried the suggestions to remove Adobe I now have a long message that starts "This patch package cannot be opened etc etc" what does this mean? I learned yesterday (in Yahoo Answers) about Foxit PDF Reader. It is better and faster than Adobe Reader, and you can download it for free! I checked it out at CNet.com, great site filled with technology reviews. Based on CNet's review I'm removing Adobe Reader and going with Foxit! CNet's editors give Foxit PDF Reader 4 out 5 stars. Here's what they said: "To put it gently, Adobe Reader is a real pain in the hindquarters. "It's monstrously large, slow to load, and includes many features most users will hardly ever need. Foxit PDF Reader 2.0 omits these widgets and throws in some neat features, such as annotation tools, while still allowing you to read PDF documents. "The interface mimics Adobe's, so you won't have to change your reading habits. In our test, the text readability wasn't much inferior to Acrobat's. The 1.6MB program starts surprisingly fast compared to Acrobat. You might need to fiddle a bit to get it to work with your Internet browser, but you can find help on Foxit's support forums. It's a nice touch that it opens PDFs from the Internet in their own Foxit window, instead of sucking resources from within the browser. "Foxit's biggest flaw in the old version was hogging memory and that has been corrected. How do I change my default adobe program, so the items open Adobe reader and not Adobe Photoshop?
I know how to change the defaults so that items that are saved on my computer open in Adobe Reader vs Photoshop. I also know how to right click and openwith reader over an another adobe program. However, when trying to open some items in links/hyperlinks that are PDFs, my computer still opens them in photoshop. The default setting on my computer for PDFs, listed in the folder options, is set to open in Adobe Reader.

Right click on the PDF and choose Open With. Select Adobe Reader and check the box to always use this application, then press ok.

How do i make an Adobe Reader document to stop my work from being copied?
