Anybody have problems with Adorama camera, didn't get gear back?
I sent in a 120 film camera system to Adorama for a quote to see if they would buy it. After being insulted by their quote I had it sent back. I received it back today missing a large telephoto lens, and have brought this to their attention. It's only been a few hours and I have not had a responce from them, so I have not yet come to the conclusion of foul play. Has anybody had similar problems like this come up with Adorama, and how long did it take to resolve? I have the lens' serial number, fyi. If they "don't have the item/never received it" what steps can I take to report the issue and make them suffer?
I avoid the Adorama used department like crazy. Unlike their new equipment dept, the used dept. has a very bad reputation for the problems like you describe. I wouldn't be surprised if your lens ended up getting sold by Adorama as one of theirs.

I have never bought a refurbished camera from Adorama, but I have purchased many other items from them. They are a reputable business in New York, along with B-H. I would imagine they are offering a camera manufacturer refurbished unit, and so I would not worry, it should be fine. Be sure the camera comes with some type of warranty to be on the safe side.
