Questions & Answers
Flying Aer Lingus? In one week, I'll be on a flight to Dublin to study abroad in Ireland. I chose to fly Aer Lingus over American Airlines, which were similar in price. I've never flown on a non-U.S. airline, so I was wondering if anyone's flown Aer Lingus?
I chose Aer Lingus primarily because of it's pristine safety record, which was extremely appealing since I'm a bit afraid of flying.
When I fly American coach, the seats are uncomforable and the food pretty much sucks. Does anyone have positive or negative experiences with Aer Lingus they could share with me?
Thanks!
Aer Lingus has the best safety record in the industry. Other than that, you won't find the seat anymore comfortable or the food anymore tasty. All airlines pretty much stink unless you are in first class. Aer Lingus will probably have more Irish people on it and they are always fun to travel with... they will be in pretty high spirits (half in the bag) by the time you land. And they always applaud when the plane lands which is hysterical.
I studied abroad in Ireland when I was in college and had a blast. Remember to budget in the cost of beer and you will be all set! Ireland is a magical place!
Have fun!
