Aesthetic relation of the Creation and the built environment?
Does anyone has resources on philosophy of aesthetic / environmental aesthetic regarding the Creation and the built environment? I'm writing a paper on how and what shall we build from an aesthetic view point. Thanks.

I know of a couple of books related directly to aesthetics, and I'm fairly sure both of them at least touch on the Creation (though they aren't based on it, by any means). I'd recommend Umberto Eco's "History of Beauty" along with this huge compendium of various aesthetics-related philosophical essays...I think it's literally called "Aesthetics," and published by Routledge. It's about 2000 pages long and weighs 15 pounds.

How do you decide if something has aesthetic value or not?
Why do you like certain artworks while others don't move you at all, while others yet are just "rubbish" to you? What standards would you apply to a work or art to decide if it is of aesthetic value? How it relates its content? Artefactual elements? Social/use-value considerations? Postmodern levelling? How should aesthetic form best mediate sedimented content?

Pretentious? Moi? If it speaks to you, admire its qualities. If you don't like a work but someone else does, ask them what it is they particularly like about it. It's good that we don't all like the same things.

What is an aesthetic point of view of a literary work?
How should i respond to a question asking for the aesthetic point of view of a literary work such as poetry?

look at the techniques and conventions used (or subverted) in the work. in poetry you'd be looking at description (adjectives, metaphors, similies, sonorous words, imagery, etc) and rhythm/rhyme (is there a regular pattern? does it deviate? does the pace of the poem emphasise a particular word or phrase?). ask yourself how these make the poem effective, or how they contribute to the meaning of the poem.
