how can I find pictures of facial manipulations for a liscensed aesthetician?
I am a liscensed aesthetician but, I have not worked as one in 5 years. Can a fellow aesthetician give me some advice? I am extremely anxious about beginning this work, but it has become a necessisity.

Is it easy to find job for a aesthetician and makeup artist?
I have certification in aesthetician and professional makeup artist. I don't know where to start looking for a job. Any suggestion?
You don't say where you are located, and different jobs are more plentiful in different places, so it's a little difficult.
I would think that most places in the U.S. need people to work in the cosmetics sections of large mall department stores or specialty cosmetics stores. Certainly many beauty salons in larger cities often have aestheticians associated with their other haircare and personal grooming services.
For more glamour, television networks and programs need professionals to provide on-camera makeup. Movie makers need makeup artists. Theaters need makeup artists when they put on plays.
It also depends on what you want to do and where you see your career going.
If I were you, and I lived in the US, I'd go to Indeed.com and do a search on "makeup artist" and your city and state and see what comes up. Do the same search for "aesthetician."

That will give you a starter list of employers you can approach. Keep building your list of potential employers and watch for opportunities.

What does someone going to school to be an Aesthetician learn?
Obviously they learn about bone structure, skin layers, makeup, and yadda yadda yadda. What does someone with aesthetician certification DO? I don't know if the question makes any sense, but I would love any kind of answer I could get. I am considering doing this myself.
ACTUALLY, "littlemisoc," if you would take a moment to Yahoo or Google search the word "Aesthetician" you would find that a lot of people spell it that way. And as for the best answer, you aren't going to get it with that attitude. Thanks!
We learn how to care for the skin and also educate our clients on health. Because what we do on the inside affects our outer image. We learn how to treat skin individually unlike Dermatologists who treat everyone the same..not all skin can be treated in the same way[sensitive, dry, combination, oily] all need different remedies. It's also very nice that there are post-graduate schools that really give you a lift on your career skills & knowledge [Speed Waxing[fast,easy money],Lymph Drainage to release toxins, Stone therapy..etc.] What we do is very important & therapeutic not only for our clients but also for ourselves..PLUS THERE IS GREAT MONEY TO BE MADE! =D ..you can work for Plastic Surgeons, Cruises, Resorts, Well-being centers[Holistic], Salon & Spas, Department stores..the list goes on
Right out of school I was offered $25/hr. to work for La Prairie @ Sak Fifth Avenue..so pretty awesome & I'm was only 21 yrs. old
