Why would I need a PCP referral for an Oral Surgeon?
I am wondering why I would need a referral from my PCP in order to get my four wisdom teeth extracted? I have Aetna PPO Dental, and KHPE HMO medical coverage. My orthodontist wrote a referal and gave me x-rays, why would they still need a referal from my Medical PCP?
Beacuse your orthodontist is a specialist and therefore not your primary carer like your GP or general dental practitioner and referrals should be sent from a primary carer who can give more information about your general health.
Does anyone know of a good dentist close to Bellmawr, NJ 08031 any experiences? or recomendations?
