Do you have Aetna health insurance?
My husband and I have this insurance through his employer. We still have not received our insurance cards in the mail. We can't seem to get the lady in charge of this at his work to do anything. She always gets too busy and forgets. I tried to look up the phone number on Aetna website but it says to look at your id card. Does anyone have this number? Thank you.

Here is the number for Aetna customer service: 866-565-1236

My mom is on social security and also receives medicare. Does the company Aetna control medicare pay
I am concerned about a company which continues to bug my mom about her membership to this company Aetna. She says she has never subscribed to their company, yet they have her name and address and phone number. They keep saying she owes them a great deal of money. Mom is 87 years old. Will Medicare drop her because she wont deal with this company? I am a concerned daughter. They called her and said they will discontinue her coverage. Whats going on here?

No, Medicare will not drop her and the insurance company does not control Medicare payments. However, you & your mom should contact Aetna (if your mom can't or doesn't want to talk to them she'll need to at least give her verbal permission for you to speak in her behalf if you don't have power of attorney). If she really hasn't been on any of their plans it might be a case of mistaken identity; someone else may have applied and the Medicare number may have been recorded wrong. However, since they have her name, address and phone number she may have signed up for one of their plans. I work with seniors and unfortunately sometimes they don't remember or forget which company they signed up with. You don't want to let this go because they can send her file to collections. Also, if she is on a plan with drug coverage and they drop her she may not be able to get on another plan until next year.
