Good question, thats a really hard issue I think. Would a flag at half mass be a sign of support for the troops or would it be a sign of sorrow for them? Would it be more appropriate to wait for this war to be over before we fly at half mass?
The Afghanistan Flag is vertically striped Black-Red-Green with a Central Coat of Arms. Its width-to-length
ratio is 1 to 2 . In 1928 Amanollah Khan returned from Europe. He introduced modern principles in Afghanistan.
Black is for the dark ages of the past.Red is for the blood shed in the independence struggle .Green is for the hope and wealth of Afghanistan's future. Green now stands for
all Islam countries flags as a uniting bond of oneness for
Arabic countries.
