What is the correct term for the wrap Afghanistan women wear on their head? Please don't send me any rude comments.... My daughter got a game for Christmas with childrens photos from all over the world, and the girl from Afghanistan has a pink wrap on her head, and my daughter keeps calling it a "towel" because that's what it looks like. So I am trying to figure out the correct term for it. Thanks!
Maybe a sari? I'm not 100% sure though.
Question about a book about a young women in Afghanistan? There was a picture of a young woman in tradition Afghani head dress, something like "underneath [something] " It was an auto biographical type book about her life in Afghanistan throughout the war. They talked about like cds that they had in their house, and her brothers and sisters and her sisters wedding. I could be confusing two books, I'm sorry I read this almost 4 years ago. If anyone has even the slightest idea, please help :)
Is it this one........
"Zoya's Story: An Afghan Woman's Battle for Freedom"
Is it true in Afghanistan women aren't allowed to talk back to a man? even if he is much younger than she is?
No, it is misperception. They do talk and work very hard at time more than men as there is great poverty in Afghanistan but at the same time they are strict to their tradition to wear veil. But in cities like kabul, women are doing and dressing like western dresses.
