Besides the AFI Top 100 films, what are some movies I just HAVE to see?
Besides the AFI top 100 films ever, I am putting together a list of movies I must see. I've got about 30 so far. But I know I am missing alot of good flicks. Preferably, I would like movies made after 1970, because I'm only in high school. I want to have an idea of the era/setting and what the movie is about. And I don't really want to see black/whites! Any movie you know and love from any genre will be awesome!
So just post a movie title!

How is LA Confidential not in the AFI top 100 of all time?
This movie had it all - cast, story, location, costumes... any list that doesn't have it as one of the 100 best ever is worthless, IMO.

"DO the right thing" is a better movie? And others deserve to be in the top 100 less than LA C

I couldn't find the top 100 on google...on wikipedia it said it was one of the top 100 movies. Please let me know with a link or some other reliable source.
What other GOOD movies do you recommend to see from the top 100? this is for a project, I've already seen : Snow White, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Forrest Gump, Gone with the Wind, and that's about it.

Raging Bull (1980) is in 71st place.
Taxi Driver (1976) is in 37th place.
Forrest Gump (1994) is in 47th place.
Gone with the Wind (1939) is in 171th place.
