What is the difference between vfib and afib?

V fib is a lethal arrhythmia when the ventricle is beating out of control. Atrial fib is when the upper chamber of the heart is beating out of sync, and usually too fast. This arrhythmia can cause blood to pool in the heart and form clots. People with this condition are usually on a drug called Coumadin.
Does ayone have sleep disturbances with afib?
I have gone into A-Fib when waking up from a deep sleep. Could there be a sleep apnea connection here...anyone had such a problem?

put on metoprolol for Afib a week ago and still getting heart racing? why?
When does it start working and I am on 20 milligrams. My heart started racing when I woke up last night but not too long
Call your doctor's office tomorrow (today ?), and ask about increasing your dosage.
I take 50 mg, but if my blood pressure gets too low, I cut it back to 25mg or in between, 37 mg (3/4 of a tablet).
Also, dehydration can make a difference, and I think you are supposed to take it with food.
I also am on Vytorin. If I forget and take them together, or at a close hour, then the Metoprolol is ineffective and I get a high heart rate and can't sleep.
