Questions & Answers
Is anyone else a Sherlock Holmes aficionado? If so, what are your favorite stories and why? And here's a little bit of Sherlock Holmes trivia: What was the curious incident of the dog in the night?
I LOVE Sherlock Holmes!! Some of my favorite stories are The Dying Detective, The Blue Carbuncle, The Final Problem, The Empty House. Oh, and the curious incident of the dog in the night was that it didn't bark.
I'm an avid movie aficionado. Horror movies, my favorite type. What are the best werewolf movies? ? I've seen quite a few over the years. As for me, I rank The Howling as my number one choice. Because of the transformation scenes. NO CGI! What are your choices?
American Werewolf in London
The Howling
The Wolf Man (1941)
I am in no means a wine aficionado, so I am wondering if the taste of a recipe calling for dry white would be significantly different if in a pinch, I used a dry red instead. If so, how would it differ?
it would be completely different but just as good. Red wine is usually stronger in flavor (tannins) & much bolder compared to most whites. Remember to cook with a wine you would drink, let the alcohol cook out (or burn off) & cook with a lighter red (merlot or pinot noir).
It really however does depend on the dish, some dishes are defined by the use of red vs. white wine.
