Questions & Answers
AOL radio player? I clicked on the AOL radio to listen to the Christmas channel. Well, it said that I need to install this thing and to click on it so I did. It said to close down all applications etc and then to go back and restart the aol radio. I did that and it still didn't play. It led me back to the intall thing that I had just installed. I don't know if I explained that well, but if you understand can you please help me? Why is it so complicated just to listen to Christmas music on the internet?
are you using vista?...aol radio has problems with vista
i am having trouble using my aol radio ,windows media player, says i ned to install sound card for w can you tell me how to install a new sound card for windows xp it is not working,, error message says , i need to install one,, how do i do that?
Were these programs working before? Do you have sound coming out of your speakers? If you have no sound and never did, you might need to buy a soundcard or its probably disabled in your Device Manager and you'll need to download a new driver. If you had the sound and now it no longer works - check in Device Manager , right-click your soundcard - properties - RollBack driver.
Will most of my applications work when I upgrade to Mac OS X Leopard? I heard that with past versions of Mac OS X, there have been compatibility problems when making the jump from one OS to the next. Here's what I've installed on my system
- Microsoft Office 2004 Student and teacher Edition
- HALO for Mac
- AOL Radio
- DIVX Player
- Firefox 2.0.0.6 for Mac
- Onyx
- Yemuzip
- Stuffit Expander
- iWork 06
- Gametap (Mac)
- Norton Antivirus 10 for Mac
- Intego NetBarrier
- HP C3100 Printer software
- Windows Media Player 9 (MAC)
Will these work if I make the jump to Leopard? Thanks, your answers are very much appreciated!
I have one application (a game) from 1984 that I run on my Dual G5 with OS 10.4.10 installed, so I don't know what you mean by compatibility problems.
Sure, there may be some applications that don't work well, but that's the developer's problem. Norton Antivirus is a good example. It's terrible on any Mac OS, not to mention completely unnecessary. I hear it's even bad in Windows, where it is necessary!
