Why is it that there are more girl baby clothes than boys at the stores?
So, from observation of many stores, such as, Target, Babies-R-Us and USA Baby I have found that there are more options for baby girls. There are not as many choices and options for baby boys, that portion of the store is usually very small. Any ideas as to why this is?
These are all great ideas...keep them coming!! Has anyone thought about this before when walking through clothing stores? Am I the only one?
Because we live in a society that generalizes boys and girls. Girls are expected to be pretty and like pink, and boys are expected to not care about fashion and like sports.
"and girls can go really girly or not so much, where as boys can pretty much only go boyish." << Why though? Because that's what society expects.
Stores just for toddlers??
What are some stores that are just for toddlers? You see stores just for babies such as Babies 'R Us, USA Baby, etc. Are there any stores just for toddlers...not just clothing stores but everything toddler such as clothing, toys, shoes, books, etc. all under one roof. I'm not talking about Target or Wal-Mart either as those are discount stores. I'm seeking stores that just have everything toddler...for kids ages two and up.
Preferably in the United States please...

Where do you buy neocate formula?
I was wondering where can you buy neocate fromula in the USA?? Do they sell it at babies r us or the grocery store? My dr said I would be able to find it where they sell formula but I am having a hard time. Thanks for you answers in advance!!
Also, How much does it run?? She is already on similac alimentum but is not tolerating that....
we used neocate after trying alimentum. you have a few options.
the pharmacy can order it for you. while it is not technically a prescription, no pharmacy or store keeps it in stock. it is about $35 per can. very expensive. but they will order as much as you need as often as you ask. when we lived in boston, my insurance covered it 100%. when we moved to washington state, my new insurance would not cover it at all through my prescription plan because it was not technically a prescription. so, after a lot of investigation, i found a way around this. you can get it covered as a medical supply. you need to find a medical supply company that deals with babies' feeding supplies. they will deal with the insurance company for you. because of our high deductible, though, this didn't work for us. SO, finally, your third option: ebay. i have been buying unopened, factory sealed cases from different sellers on ebay, always for less than $35 a can.
incidentally, this is only slightly more expensive than alimentum, just much harder to find.
