Questions & Answers

How can I find out what US destinations United Airlines and/or Continental fly to non-stop from Lond
I have enough frequent flyer points for a round trip between London and the US with either airline, but only if it's non-stop. I'm trying to pick a destination! I don't want to go somewhere like New York as it's so cheap to fly there anyway that it seems like a waste of the points. I tried looking at the airline websites to see if I could find route maps (like in the in-flight magazines) but couldn't spot them. I'm sure this info must be out there somewhere but I can't find it! Any help appreciated, thanks.

You have few choices. Both sites have vacation sites on their website that will give you a good idea of where they go. You can also use your miles to (a) hit multiple destinations within the same itenrary OR you can use miles to go one way one one airline and the other back. Another option is to pay for a flight to a mojor hub like Houston or NYC and use your miles from there. 2 words of caution. PLAN EARLY! If you want the best deals using the least amount of miles plan early and be flexxible with your days. You may find that they can get you there for lets say 20,000 miles but it will cost you 140,000 to get back. By the way, if you have not been to Hawaii, a geat way to use your miles.

Continental airlines, anyone else had a bad experience with them?
My husband and I had to spend the night in Newark airport with our 8 year old daughter, sleeping on the floor when continental messed up. We were trying to get home to UK. Anyone else had a bad experience with continental. Silentnonrev's-thank you that letter is so funny, and it made my experience seem trivial.

truly, no. They are the only airline domestic US anymore who will give you something to eat at mealtime, and I have never run into anybody more than averagely snarky (something I can't say about my friends at the big AA or UA). However....read this: http://www.snopes.com/travel/airline/seat29e.asp
