Questions & Answers
delta bathroom tub and shower equipment or compatible with what other faucets? don't wanna break up my bath tub wall tile just to replace the valve and plumbing. causing more outof pocket expense.Or is it cheaper to do that, or buy more delta faucets(I have already purchased faucets, can't return them)?
What is the problem with what you have? There are a few places that you can get parts from / the parts you need not the whole faucet. Also many companies offer lifetime replacement.
Do Moen and Delta make anti scalding shower faucets with ceramic valve that come as a package? Do Moen and Delta make anti scalding shower faucets with ceramic valve that come as a package instead of trim and rough-in or valves that need to be purchased separately?
What's the best faucet out there?
Delta, Moen, Danze (Taiwan)
well I know Moen carries an anti scald line, but I'm not sure about the packaged part of it. I'd check their website for more info. My experience with Delta is that they're "throw away" faucets. I've dealt with breakage and failure from their products. My personal favorite is Kohler, but it can get spendy. American Standard has more affordable lines, if you're looking to save money. I have no experience and therefore no opinion about Danze, though I do know the name.
My suggestion is to check out the different manufactures websites. Most of them have plenty of information regarding what you're asking. I've used them plenty of times while doing specs for plumbers and clients (I'm an Interior Designer). Or you can call up your favorite plumbing supply and get them to do the legwork....lol. I've gotten stuck doing that plenty of times, even when it didn't lead to a sale.
Good luck.
drippy bathroom pop-up stopper from Delta Faucets? A friend of mine bought a Delta faucet assembly.
The installed Pop-up Stopper leaks so she called for a replacement. They fed her the following information:
First Call: She was told that her bathroom sink needed to have 6 inches of water in order to have enough pressure to cause a full stoppage of water.
She got home and tried this. Apparently it was a challenge to get the 6 inches because it lets a lot of water pass, but no stoppage occured
Second Call: Told that in the year 2000 an international law was passed which says that a stopper is not suppose to stop ... just slow to prevent overflow. There is a hole in the back of the sink for this; but apparently that isn't good enough.
Can anyone say if ANY of this garbage is true and if so possibly provide the proof.
Thanks in advance.
Well Im A plumber of 20 years and I need A good laugh
And I will say this I have more problems with Delta then any other faucet out there.
But 1 Thing they did say On a sink it will have a slow leak in the pop up (IF AND ONLY IF THERE IS NO WEAP HOLE IN THE SINK TO PREVENT SPILLING) But 99% have this so anyways.
Go to Home Depot and get a new unit. Do Not Get Plastic Get Brass if you can.
Replace it and Take the Delta one out side and shoot it!
I Feel bad for her problems with this. I hate when companys tell customers dumb stuff like that.
Thats like saying your toilet wont flush unless you sit on it and say please.
Anyways if I could do anything else in this matter to help you feel free to contact me at
