Questions & Answers
Appointment at dvla local office..? Can i query wether i am ok to register this..
+ I have a bike that had a frame and plate (V) and log book.
+ That frame has at some point had the rear mudguard mounts cut off (why? i have no idea?)
+ With the bike when i bought it, was a spare frame!
+ It has a clear number but NO plate and logbook.
+ I have now built the bike onto this frame and intend to use it..
+ I have changed the crankcases from the original, hence different engine number.
I sent off my v5 to my local office (brum) with all the changes i want to make and a letter explaining it all.
I have since had an appointment for an inspection, but i had to cancel unfortunately as i had gone over my estimated time for getting the bike done.
So, know im going up to town in the morning to see them personally and get another appointment..
Am i likely to encounter any problems regarding those deatils above, is there anything out of place or do i need anything extra?
Cheers.
OK
You should be OK,
It would be best to provide more information than less.
Can you bring pictures of the frame you are not using ?
I think they would be conerned that the frame or parts came from breaking stolen bikes..
Did you buy from someone you know who could tell you where the extra frame came from ?
Good Luck !
Where can I find a list of local DVLA offices? nearest to Leamington Spa CV32 7NR

you can sell your car without a v5! it says on the dvla web page? This is what it says on the DVLA page:
If you buy a used vehicle - seller does not have a registration document or certificate
If the seller does not have a V5 registration document or V5C registration certificate, you should register the vehicle in your name by using form V62 'application for a registration certificate'. You can get one by download from the vehicle forms link below or from any Post Office® branch or a DVLA local office. DVLA will then send you a new registration certificate in your name.
