Questions & Answers
how do you get rid of an earthlink webmail account???? I HATE EARTHLINK!
go into control panel, click on add/remove programs..Here scroll down the list until you see earthlink listed ,,click on it and remove
Why is Earthlink's webmail so bad? I use it at work, and it's terrible. Anyone know of plans to upgr And webmail is my only option when checking my earthlink email from work. Unfortunately!
Hmm, I don't know if you are actually looking for an answer, or you are just unsatisfied with your current ISP at work which is Earthlink.
If you are using Outlook Express to check your Earthlink, be sure you have your settings right. Open OE and in the uppper left area you will see Tools. Left click Tools > Accounts. If you are creating a new account, click the Add> Mail . Follow the instructions to personalize it with the email address you are accessing. When you get to POP and SMTP make sure you have pop.earthlink.net in the POP3 box and smtp.earthlink.net in the SMTP box. Enter your login and password and that will finish you.
If you have it on OE and want to check to make sure it's setup correctly, after clicking Accounts you will see a list of the mail/news accounts in the All tab. Left click and highlight the account which you are wanting to check then look to the right and you will see Properties button. Click that and you can check your settings to be sure they are correct.
I have had Earthlink on Dial-Up and I now have it on DSL. Neither have given me any issues.
You say you use it at work. It is possible that your Network Administrator has restricted your access to do things on your computer. That is something you will have to check on.
Want to export address book from Earthlink webmail to my yahoo address book.? not only names and e-mail addresses, but phone # and group contact if possible.
well i think i can help you... im not very familar with earthlink, but all you need to do is save your address book from earthlink. like if you use outlook express you can save your contacts. make sure the end of the file name is saved as .csv or .vcf then you can go to your address book on yahoo and on the right side it will have import/export click on that and another page will come up. if your file name ends with .csv then choose outlook if it is .vcf then you click on vCard.. then just go to where the files are and import them. its easy but complicated if that doesnt work there is a chat service earthlink has online and i know they will be able to tell you...
