gorden ramsay recipes anyone?
i have been watching alot of his shows, the f word, hells kitchen , and kitchen nightmares usa and UK,his food always looks soooooo good and i wanna try to cook a recipe or two of his to see if i like it before i puchase a book. does anyone have a recipe of his they would recomend and give me?

It is was on the F word, probably a year ago, and he made it at someone's house who couldn't cook. I have lost it and it is really yummy!

Native American Recipes as promised!!?
I promised to share some Native American Recipes and I am a Woman of my word. These are traditional plains (blackfoot) in origin, my tribe.
Buffalo stew
2 lbs buffalo
1/4 cup oil
1 large chopped onion
2 cloves of minced garlic
2 cups of corn
8 cups water
1 tsp.salt; 1 tsp.ground mint; 1/2 tsp.pepper
4 carrots, sliced
3 potatoes, cubbed
1 green pepper(optional)
Nokake Bread
2 Cups cornmeal
2 Cups water
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Teaspoons salt
1 Tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
Preheat oven to 375º F.
Bring water to boil in a saucepan.
Add cornmeal, butter, salt, and chopped dill.
Place mixture in buttered 8 inch by 8 inch cake pan; bake for 25 minutes or until done.
Cut into squares and serve.
Coopee' (Berry soup)
1 cup of dried Sarvis, June, Service Berries
4 cups of water
1/2 cup flour, approx.
Sugar
Directions
1. Boil berries in the water until soft.
2. Slowly stir in flour until it begins to thicken.
3. Sugar-sweeten to taste.
(We modernize it some by adding a handful of blueberries for sweetness and color.)
Note: Serve warm with your favorite bread (ours is fry bread).
Berries can be used fresh too. The nuttier and sweeter the berries the better the flavor.
In my grandmother's day bits of cooked/dried meat were added to the soup.
Fry Bread
4 c. flour
1 T. cinnamon/sugar mix
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. powdered milk
1/2 c. warm water- add more if needed
Directions
In small mixing bowl, mix 1 teaspoons sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Blend well. Set aside.
In largest mixing bowl, Add flour.Add rest of ingredient except warm water. Mix well. Make a well in center. Add 1/4 c. warmed water in center of well. Mix well. Keep adding warm water until doughy,not runny, texture forms. It should be stick to the touch texture. Lay out waxed paper on clean surface and lay it on top with a cloth covering it for 1 hour.
While doing that, heat up oil in deep skillet (should be hot enough to brown a cube piece of bread)about half full. Form into ball shape and flatten with hand until paper thin.
Drop into oil when ready. Fry one side and flip over, useing tongs, and fry on other side. Both sides should be golden brown but not doughy inside. Drain on paper towel.
Pumpkin fry bread
2c fresh pumpkin or 1 16 oz. can
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tblsp. water
3/4 c Brown sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg and cinnimon
1/4 tsp vanilla
folw fry bread recipe to cook. serve with butter or powder sugar.

have you ever been to recipezaar.com? you can post your wonderful recipes and see what other people are cooking, and you can rate them after you try 'em, and even tell them what they are doing wrong (or right!). i have found some nice authentic native recipes on there! you will love it.
