Questions & Answers
facebook virus????????????????????????? My friend's facebook account was hacked and he posted a message on my wall saying to go to a website because my pictures were on it. Does anyone else know about this virus? Can you tell me more about it?
person with the most info gets 10 pts
This is what happens. A friend of yours on Facebook gets a message like this, and they go to the site. It asks them sign up for an account, and has them enter a password, their name, their email, and the friend who sent the message to them. They do so, and most likely use the same email and password they use for their Facebook account. The site then tries to use the email and password your friend put in to access your friend's Facebook account. Then, once they have access, they are able to send YOU the message that got your friend. If you put in your email address, a password, and all the other stuff, they might be able to access your Facebook account. You do not want this. Instead, merely delete the message, and tell your friend to change their password, and in the worst case scenario, change their email address as well, especially if he uses the same password for facebook and his email. Hope this helps.
What is the Facebook Virus and How Can I remove it? I think I have that stupid Facebook Virus on my pc :(, but I am not sure. I need info QUICK on it so I can figure out if this is in fact the Facebook Virus, and if so, how can I get it off my PC immediately?
Yeah that facebook virus is bad. The best site i found on the new facebook virus, is
Facebook Virus - http://www.facebookvirus.com/
This site will tell you how to clean it and remove it from your computer.
I got the 'facebook virus' and deactivated my account temporarily and dumped the old computer. Will I got the facebook virus because I'm an idiot. I got it on a PC that later turned to a zombie. A computer expert came in and cleaned the laptop and everything on it, at all. On my Mac, I deactivated my facebook for 2 or 3 weeks. I'm afraid to reactivate it in case the virus is still there but idk. Can anyone help?
If the computer expert has done his job well and completely cleaned the computer(s), then you are good to go.
In addition, if you want to make sure Please run a anti-malware scan using any antivirus programs you may have, in addition to http://housecall.trendmicro.com . If it finds any infections, delete them all.
If it comes up clean then everything should be OK. You can go ahead and reactivate your account.
If you still have problems / not sure, check out the link below. You will get the help you need to resolve this issue, if this post can't help you.
Good luck ;)
