What memory is better Corsair or G-Skill? I have always been a Corsair fan but I heard G-Skill is better for gaming is this true? Or should I stick with Corsair for gaming?
Corsair, G-Skill=Garbage
I have a XfX 680i lt sli motherboard, Will 4gbs of G.skill 1066 ram work on it? My motherboard says 800mhz ram, But some ppl say i can get 1066 so can i get 1066?
Hi,
Yes, you can use 1066 Mhz memories but there is a special way to do it.. you need to activate the E.P.P. option in the BIOS. You need a E.P.P. Compatible Memory. G.skill will not be good for you. You will need to go with Corsair Memories. Try with the model TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF or TWIN2X4096-8500C5D.
Will G.Skill memory work on a Dell Dimension 4600C? This is what the ram says:
G.SKILL 1GB PC3200 DDR 400 MEMORY
CL3-4-4-8 UNBUFFERED 2.5V-2.6V
All I know is I need a PC3200 DDR 400mhz
It should. I'm afraid I can't say for sure. G. Skill, unlike Kingston, Patriot and Crucial, did not allow me search for recommended memory by computer manufacturer and model. G. Skill does allow a search by chip-set, but they didn't have a part listed for the 865G Chip-set in your system. This is why I can't say for sure if the G. Skill part will work or not.
On the websites that do offer the ability to search by specific computers:
Kingston recommends this part: http://www.wikio.com/product/kingston-ktd8300-1g-175497.html
Patriot recommends this part: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220030
Crucial recommend this parts: http://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-Dimension-System-PC3200-NON-ECC/dp/B0009P8BIY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1233796604&sr=1-1
Afraid that's the best I can do. Sorry.
Good luck!
