Is it worth ones time to read the book "Iacocca" the autobiography by Lee Iacocca?
When I was in the 11th grade in high school back in 1984 (don't laugh), my electronics instructor had a class on how one should get a job after high school. The class, for a minute, brought up the idea of success etc., etc., etc.. A book my instructor suggested that we read on our own (not mandatory) was "Iacocca" the autobiography. Now I know that this is 2009 and all, and the auto industry wants bailouts which is not Iacocca's fault of course. What I mean to ask, and forgive me here, is it worth my time to read that book or are the ideas/ideals outdated for the most part in that book? The way I took what my instructor said was, not only is that book an ideal book for a job and/or success attitude but also contains good philosophy's on life and a good way of thinking for the most part, etc., etc., etc.. I don't mean to sound naivete or anything; considering the situation the auto industry is in; but is that a good/worth wile book to read? I've been meaning to read it but haven't got around to reading it yet.

Haven't personally read it, but my father in law, who owns his own laboratory, really is smart and successful said he really enjoyed it, and greatly admired Iacocca. I actually was hoping to read it sometime also. Detroit needs another Lee Iacocca. You know that there was talk of him becoming president? That would have been good. He couldn't have been much worse than Bush Senior. Lol.
