IIS 7.0 database?
i installed iis 7.0, seems to work fine i created a couple of asp pages, but then i created another pages with a database string connection, i can't get the database to display, i tried dns less connection too and i always get the HTTP 500 error, i know the code is right, got it from a book, saved the database in my documents, and also in the server itself but won't work, does anybody knows if the problem is iis? a fix? a settings that needs to be done? i have windows vista.thanks, the database is access and I am using notepad to code in vbscript, which I think is 3.0, fairly new iis 7.0 should work, my software is the latest, windows vista, iis 7.0, just recently updated my computer too.

IIS 7 doesn't support old versions of ASP unless you manually install the asp.dll. I advise upgrading to .NET!

This may sound very elemental, but have you tried checking the settings on the local computer to make sure it is checking for new versions of pages? To do so, you go under 'Tools > Internet Options > Settings' and make sure that the option 'Always check for new version is checked. If that doesn't work, I would be curious to know who is hosting your site - perhaps they are not refreshing the pages they are serving frequently enough.

You will have to make sure that your Internet Service Provider is giving you a "Static IP", which means it does not change. Most ISPs do not give this by default, but some have an extra fee you can pay if you want it. (Some ISPs even block the correct ports because they dont want users hosting webpages, in that case you would need some port forwarding in your router.) Once you have a static IP, people will be able to access your webpage by putting in the IP address. Or it would probably be easier to find if you register a domain name.

I would guess it would just be a case of visiting the Microsoft website and downloading the latest version. The installation routines Microsoft use a usually quite straightforward, it should be no more difficult than upgrading to the latest version of Office, for example.

IIS 7 Problem with classic ASP and MS Access Database?
I have windows vista home premium and IIS7 installed on it. Classic ASP pages are working fine,but when I try to connect to Access database,I get the error, I did some research on internet, and set the permission for TEMP directory,and ApplicationPool, but still get the same erro.Any Ideas?

There are any number of possibilities here, from that you are using relative paths in a Server.MapPath call -- relative paths aren't allowed under IIS 7's architecture, at least not in the Server.MapPath method -- to not having installed MDAC or the proper data access components on your computer to power your connections & queries.
