Questions & Answers
Is iWork that much worse than Office? Hey, I just got a mac and it came with iWork trial, it seems alright I was just wondering if it misses out on many features that office provides.
Thanks
Matt.
I don't know what you are doing with office, I mean some special tasks require MS office, but the free NeoOffice for Mac is a great totally free office that can open and save MS office stuff.
I use it, never felt the need to get another office.
On PC I use OpenOffice, which is essentially the same. Sun Microsystems and community programmers build it. It's not perfect, but it opens tons of stuff and is totally free and open source. It installs easily too.
My Macbook came with iWork '06 & iWeb (Trial Versions). Weren't they supposed to be the full version @qaa_question
Yes, iWeb is a part of iLife '06 and is included, however iWork, which includes Keynote and Pages, is a trial.
How do I enter an iWork serial? I recently got a new MacBook Pro (Yay!) an I purchased Apple's iWork suite. By default iWork comes pre-installed as a trial version. Because I purchased I now have a serial number.
How do I enter the iWork serial on the box without having to reinstall the entire application, and before my trial period runs out?
I don't know the answer, since I don't use Iwork, but if it works like other Apple products, you should be able to go to iwork preferences and type in your serial number to register. This how I did it when I got Quick Time Player Pro demo.
Hope this helps.
How can I try out iWork without downloading a free trial? I'm interested in getting a MacBook, and also putting iWork on it. I've looked at reviews and various information about it.
The program looks great, but I'm still curious about how I'LL like it.
Is there a website that I can go to to try it out, without having to download it? And the nearest Apple Store is over 3 hours away from where I live.
Your best shot is to download the trial or buy it online.
iWork 09 free trial download? If I download the 30 day trial version of iWork and then I want to buy the full version, do I have to get the boxed version or can I buy it so that it just gives me a serial code after purchasing and have no need to buy the boxed version? Thank you.
