Does this sound too good to be true regarding a buffet in Las Vegas?
I have e-mailed a supervisor of a well-known buffet in Vegas, told them we have between 20 and 30 people attending, and would like to go to their buffet at 7:30 on a Friday night. We know there are long lines, but would like to bypass this, and enter at once. I also offered to pay two weeks in advance for VIP passes.
Here was the response: I can put you down on my calendar for that day and time if you would like. This way we would be able to accommodate you when you get here. Here is my question-Does this sound too good to be true, or should I look somewhere else for a place to dine in Las Vegas when inviting 20-30 guests?
Every upscale buffet I've been to in Vegas has a VIP line, and that sort of thing you describe makes perfect sense. Once your party arrives, they will all be seated as a group (ahead of any general public waiting in the regular line).
Inside the buffet area, it's everyone for him/herself just like everyone else who has been seated -- but that's not a bad thing.
I would have a generous tip in-hand for the maitre-de, or seating hostess (like $10.00) IF you hadn't paid for any premium/VIP service ahead of time.

I've looked everywhere and cannot find a calendar of games being held in Mexico City or in cities with in a short flight of Mexico City. Any league of games will do - not picky. Just want to see a soccer game.
I checked Calendario del Torneo Clausura 2008 de la Primera División y Selección Nacional and the games during that time are in the US! Just my luck.
