Questions & Answers
lakers schedule? ok im a lakers fan and i need to know when the next games are. i know there in the playoffs and does winning or losing affect there upcoming games?
Well, assuming that they sweep Denver, they will begin playing Game 1 in LA next week against whoever wins between Utah/Houston( Most likely Utah) If this series goes on longer games, then well it depends.
What was the Lakers' schedule and results back in 2001? OK, I'm no Lakers hater but I have looked at the Western Conference schedule and mentioned this a few times in other answers. For the whole month of April the Lakers have "away" games in SAC, POR, & LAC(which requires no travel). All the rest of their games are in LA. They only play ONE set of games back to back. 4/10 the "away" game vs. Clippers and a home game vs. NO on 4/11. All the other games played in April are played a day apart. NONE of the other teams competing for the playoff spots have that restful of a schedule. The only other team in the hunt that has 3 away games is UTAH but they are in NO, DAL, & SA not easy away trips. However at least they don't have any back to back games. It's stuff like this that makes be listen to those conspiracy theorists that the NBA caters to their High Profile teams to get ratings and help teams cruise or tank to get into the playoffs. I like the Lakers and everything but I'm not a die hard fan. What do the fans think?
First of all, I'm not a retard, ass***. I asked a simple question that was pointed out to me. Me and another person didn't agree so I posed the question on here to get an answer from fans to see what you thought. Obviously, you don't think much and you needed 2 points. I can respect that, just don't insult me in the process...you just make yourself look to dumb to have an intelligent answer.
Second...I DO NOT HATE THE LAKERS. A Lakers fan is the one who told me that he thought that Stern would agree to "help" the team have a restful April so that they would go far in the playfoffs to get ratings. Saying that the SPURS were boring, and NO wouldn't be enough interest in the West. So read the question and don't assume I hate the lakers. I said that I was starting to believe what peeps were saying based on these facts. I just want opinions.
Third....i don't think that taking it easy in April is always helpful. If the team gets going and confident, that could lead them to keep winning. Sometimes the rested teams get carless.
Oh yeah and Dude, get a girlfriend first before you give me s***. I could be the girl of your dreams but you chose the wrong pick up line. LOL
The Lakers actually had the hardest strength of schedule, and were up there in amount of back to backs until recently. They also had the 9 game road trip a little while back, the longest in Laker history.
The Lakers' schedule right now simply just makes up for the tough schedule they had in the beginning/middle of the year. . It's the same reason why Houston had a mediocre record at first-- they had to play many good teams at the beginning of the year.
There ARE some anomalies on the laker schedule, such as having to play Dallas and Sacramento 3 times in the last month and a half of the season along with playing a back to back w/GSW. But any perceived favoring of the Lakers schedule is just because they've already paid their dues.
