the mall of america is the site of the old twins baseball stadium in bloomington, mn?
inside the mall is camp snoopy. at one end of camp snoopy is a bronze home plate stating that is where home plate was for the ball park... on the opposite end near the water ride is a seat on the wall above the water rise. i understand harmon killebrew hit a homer to this seat, but no one at the mall knew how far it was from home plate, and i cannot find this answer on the net... does anyone know how far the ball was hit to land there???? it was a mammoth shot for sure...

St. Louis Cardnals to build theirs?????????
I think you need to go back and check your dates. The Cardinals started construction on their new ballpark in 2003 and it opened in 2006. The Twins are actually looking at the same construction time and the additional time you are referring to is for design and planning which was needed for the Cardinals as well.
