Natwest online banking card reader. Did anyone else receive one?
If so Have you used yours yet?
The letter said i would not be able to access my account without it, but actually I havent needed it.
Yes, I`ve had mine for about 6 weeks now.
It seems that they are delaying there original plans, which required the card reader to do most things in accordance with your online banking.
At the moment, the only time you need it is when you set up a new payment through online banking.
I think at the moment they are having logistics problems getting everything to work, the card readers were supposed to go out to everyone at the same time, but this hasn't happened, and there are still people who don't have them.
Another big stumbling block is that bank cards over 2 years old don't actually work in them! They have a different chip on the card, and the card reader doesn't recognise them - I had this problem with my original bank card, but thankfully a later card I had worked with the reader. You don't actually need to use the card thats linked to the account your making the payment from, you can use any of your Natwest bank cards (although they cleverly neglected to tell people that and I only found out by giving them a ring).
Is anybody having trouble with NatWest online banking?
I haven't been able to log in since yesterday!
No, I haven't had any problems at all, logged in yesterday and this morning and its all working fine.
Had a quick look through the help files, and there is an alternate address you can use at:
https://www.nwolb.com/
(The above is an official natwest site!)
If you still can't log in there, then you`ll need to contact Natwest who should be able to resolve the problem.
Natwest online banking downtime?
Does anyone know what times Natwest online banking is down? I can't log in... Unless someone has hijacked my account...
Thanks SV - When I was trying to log in there was the normal log in screen and it kept rejecting me!! - Hmm I hope it is planned and not some catastrophic failure
If someone had hijacked your a account, you could access the site as normal, but when you entered your password, you would receive an notice that the user-name/password were not valid. If the website is down, you would either not be able to access the log-in screen, or receive a message that the site was unavailable. The site does not have regular downtime. If the site was down for scheduled maintenance, they probably had a notice on the site for about a week in advance.
As of 9:37pm Eastern Time (US), July 8, 2007, the site is unavailable.
