Nike + iPod?
I want to get the Nike + iPod thing for my iPod Nano but I dont have nike shoes. I've heard that you can use different shoes. How do you do it? Also do you have to run or can you just walk?
I love the Nike + iPod thing for my runs! And it works for walking!! This is what I did: I went to www.shoepouch.com. They have a little pouch designed specifically for the Nike ipod chip and it ties into your shoe laces. They even have eight different colors, and it's only about $10. I use it with my Brooks running shoes and it works great!
Oh, and btw, I've read reviews that say NOT to cut into your shoe or gels insoles, because it doesn't work as well...plus it could ruin your shoe. Besides, insoles cost as much as the pouch anyway, and you have to replace them...
nike+ipod?
I’ve had the Nike ipod thing for about 2 months never had a problem... till now. I’m not an avid runner so I know my time's not great however, my 1 mile pace is 7:20 and 2 mile pace is the same I’ve been running on a treadmill because it’s cold. my 5 mile run average is 42:30 but the past 3 days it's been 45:00 and my mile pace is 7:50 to 8:10 for the first 2, this is the thing I run on a treadmill at 7.8 mph how am I gaining 30 seconds on my mile running at the same set speed?? I never "turn off" my sensor because I just leave it in my running shoes does it transmit even when your not walking?? has anyone had this problem? btw the treadmill has always read about .20 miles more than the ipod but on my last run it was 1.87 miles more and I only stopped once for a breath maybe 45 seconds. any help would be great..
Maybe you could try recalibrating the sensor/IPod.
Look in the manual and it tells you how to do it.

Is nike+Ipod compatabile with all nike sneakers?
Only for the ones which have a slot UNDER the soles.
But even non-Nike shoes can work if you put the sensor under you shoelaces at the bottom part of the toungue. Or if you dont get what I'm saying then somehow put them on/in your shoe (i.e Duck tape to the back of shoe)
