Questions & Answers
Can Nike plus sport work with the new ipod classic? Or does it just work with ipod nanos?
only the ipod nano cause you don't wanna damage the hard drive inside an ipod classic with all the movement produced during running.
Can you use the nike plus system iPod instead of an iPod nano? i have the shoes and an iPod classic (the newest kind) (80GB) i want to get the kit thing but if it doesn't work with an ipod classic, i don't want to spend $30 on it. Also do you know the best place to buy the kit (cheapest place/most reliable)
Not sure if it's compatible, but it is definitely not a good idea. This is because the hard drive inside the ipod can get damaged if you shake it too much i.e. while working out.
This is the reason that they pulled the videos and classics from the Nike thing in the first place.
Should I get iPod Nano or iPod Classic? My iPod Touch recently broke so I'm deciding which iPod I should get next. I don't need all 80 GB on the Classic. My Touch was an 8 GB and that worked fine, so I think the 8 GB Nano would work. They seem to have the same features. I wont use Nike Plus or anything like that. I watched a lot of TV Shows on my Touch, so I think the bigger screen on the Classic would be better for that. I've heard that the iPod Classic has some hard drive thing in it that isn't exactly the best for jumping around and stuff. I play basketball with my iPod a lot and I dropped my Touch many times, which is probably what led to it's demise. So should I get an 8 GB Nano or 80 GB Classic?
Also, I like to listen to music on my Xbox 360. I know that a classic can hook up to an Xbox and play music. It would be helpful if you knew if a Nano did the same thing?
There is only about an .5 inch difference between the iPod classic and nano plus since the ipod classic has a hard drive when you play basketball the ipod classic hard drive might skip and if you drop it on the ground then you can damage the hard drive by dropping it and the needle on the hard drive smashing the disk and making permanent damage to your hard drive.
