Should Germany have accepted the larger bid from Nike over Adidas to outfit thier national team?
German federation turned down a larger bid from Nike to sponsor thier National team, sticking with the home Company Adidas. Thier relationship with Adidas goes back 50 years.
Personally, I dont see Nike as making great Soccer gear. I still look to Adidas and Puma when I am looking for quality and tradition.
i think germany are right to stick with the native sports giant, adidas. afterall, adidas is a german brand and germans, of all people, should take pride in donning a jersey made from their own company.
it would be quite disastrous if they were to accept nike's bid and turn their back on adidas. wouldn't they be termed as 'traitors' then?
it's the same theory as why england stuck with umbro [english brand] as their jersey manufacturer instead of sporting giants adidas nike or even puma.

adidas, puma, hummel, nike, diadora, umbro, lotto, kappa, joma, uhlsport, kelme...
personaly i prefer adidas for overall soccer equiptment and i like the styles of puma and hummel.
i dont really care for nike... something about them bugs me the wrong way.. like they're more interested in sales than in the actual product they put out.
I prefer adidas, especially over nike. When it comes to shoes, I used to like nike but the last couple nike shoes I bought were of poor quality and feel apart quickly. I've found that the adidas shoes I bought lasted twice as long as the nike shoes I bought. I do agree with you about nike 100%.
Edit: I also prefer Adidas clothing like shirts aswell. Adidas makes the jerseys for my DC United and most of the shirts, too. The only Nike shirts or jersey I wear are ones for the US National Team. Overall I prefer Adidas because of it's football (soccer) history.
