Questions & Answers
Can I cancel my Carphone Warehouse o2 contract due to appalling customer service? Very long story short, but I upgraded to an 18 month contract on 6th September, where they gave me a new Samsung G600. This phone was faulty. A lot (I mean A LOT) of my time and effort was invested. Two months and two complaints letters later, I got my phone replaced.
I'm writing them my third complaint's letter right now. Basically I want to end the letter by threatening to cancel my Direct Debit in 30 days time (i.e. thereby cancelling my contract) if they don't call me back with fat compensation for my troubles.
My reason is that they're in breach of contract by being crap. Has anyone ever cancelled for this reason and not be chased with early termination fees? Will I get away with cancelling the DD?
Before you go ahead and write your 3rd letter of complaint. Give this website a look. Its the OFCOM website. They should be able to advise you, the correct procedure and may even taken on your case for yyou. But just give carphone warehouse a call and tell them, your going to OFCOM. See if it might make them listen.
