Questions & Answers
is there a free reverse phone number lookup for UK phone numbers? I'm getting calls to my O2 mobile from the number 07039424559 in the middle of the night, i've been told that 07040 and 07039 numbers are a scam and that if you call them back, they forward the call to a payline that charges stupid amounts of money. Unfortunately unless they are threatening calls the police won't do anything, neither will O2 and I don't want to have to change my number.
If you phone the operator and give them the number, ask them if it is a high rate to call they will tell you how much it will cost you to Ring the number back.
Or you may be able to block the number from calling you, that all depends on which mobile you have.
Is anyone experiencing issues with o2 mobile? I have been an o2 customer from as far back when they were Cellnet. My current SIM gives me 100minutes if I top up with a minimum of £10 a month.
Then they go and alter the service so that even on your free minutes with certain numbers you get charged. The previous month I kept a tally of the duration of my calls, it was about 45 minutes worth. This month I didn't even get 30 Minutes of calls before my 100minuts allocation was used up... So how does 100 minutes talk turn into less than 30 minutes?
Several emails to o2 have fallen on deaf ears and I don;t know about your thoughts but these mobile phone companys make more than enough proffits to give unlimited talktime for a fixed price plan.
So I have gone to BT Fusion where for £15 I get 100 minutes inclusinve talk time, 20Meg on-line mobile internet, if IM at home I get 4 minutes talk for the price of 1 minute AND same in BT openzone area I get same talk time as if I was at home.
Anyone thought of changing their mobile provider?
I get 100 minutes because I signed up with them years ago when the offer was 100 minutes free. Thats why.
Changing provider, I am, IM going over to BT Fusion mobile on contract and no Pay through the nose.
WELL I am impressed with turn around, I called the BT Fusion sales line at 2pm yesterday, my new Samsung P200 just arrived this morning.
NOW thats what I call service, it took o2 3 Days to deliver my P.A.G phone when I bought it online...
The P200 wasn't meant to arrive until Monday / Tuesday next week...
To Recap: 20 Meg of on-line minutes plus 100 minutes talktime inclusive on contract PLUS same when IM in an OpenZone area of which theirs about 20 zones in town, one just 30 seconds walk away.
All for £15 a month which by any tarrif standards is hard to beat.
Call charges are 4 minutes for 1 on talktime in BT Openzone or via Home Hub
15p min via Hub and openzone
40p min any network outside hub or openzone
Includes a connection charge like most mobile and home phone plans.
Sorry byt 3 network is worse than o2.
It cost me 65p for a 30 second call to my friends phone, he found that all his friends that used to call him stopped until I pointed out that the 1 call I had made cost me a whapping 65p when I could call another network for 2 minutes.
BT Fusion gives me 400 minutes when in a BT Openzone or via my Home hub & 20 megs of internet per month for £15, you will be hard pressed to get that on any contract phone.
I have been setting it up, thats the only grumble I have with it is configuration, it only comes ready for Openzone use and setting it up with your router is a bit tricky if you are not tech savvy, took me 10 mins of mucking around with it. Bit call quality is most excellent.
o2 have changed their plans, I spoke to them today and it was confirmed that my price plan was changed.
BT Fusion offers me 400minutes for £15 a month on contract. That is something that they can not compete with. So I shall let my current SIM quietly slip off the grid.
yadda yadda yadda, change phone provider
O2 Message Center Number? My boyfriend played with my mobile and changed the numbers of the message center (I know, it's so silly). Now I can't send any sms anymore. Can someone tell me the O2 Message Center Number please? And there are two message centers. One says SIM Center and the second just says message center, which one do I have to use?
I'm with O2 and my phone says "SIM msg.centre" & the number is: +447802092035
