Questions & Answers
Have you received your online food delivery from Ocado/Tesco/Asda etc? I placed an order almost a month ago with Ocado - I have been ordering with them on a bi weekly basis for the past few months without any delivery problems at all.
However my Christmas order should have come last night - but the delivery driver couldn't find where we live - despite directions and Ocado's previous 100% success rate in finding our location.
He tried to call yes, but I didn't get the messages until gone 11pm when Ocado closes down.
Now it is impossible to get through on the phone and email response is within 72 hours - What a nightmare - CHRISTMAS HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED! It will have to be cancelled.
Have you experienced the same and what happened, and what can you do?
I order from Sainsbury's once a month with no problems. There was a similar delivery problem with Tesco last year. My neighbour never received her delivery, despite complaints. It's all right for greedy companies to extend the service, but you need the staff to make it happen.
I suggest you cancel the order, ask for compensation, and go to the supermarket yourself today. It's the only guarantee you'll have of getting your stuff in time. Oh, and never shop with them again. Choose another online supermarket.
Do you tip your Ocado (online grocery ordering/home delivery) delivery man? And if so, how much? They're generally so polite, friendly and helpful -- such a pleasant surprise to deal with! -- so wondering if tipping is appropriate? Does anyone else tip? Or would it be odd to do so?
We get all our groceries delivered by Ocado every Friday evening. We do it because they are high quality, and because our son works for the company as a computer something or other so we get discount. BUT they are not allowed to accept tips, which I think is a great shame, because they are always polite, we live in the back of beyond at the end of a long footpath, and they don't earn much.
I have written exercise comeing up with ocado home delivery what do they ask you? @qaa_question
