Pi Pi (p[=e]` [imac]"), n. (Chem.) The inorganic orthophoshate ion; -- a symbol used in biochemistry. [acronym] [PJC]

From The Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48:

Pi Pi (p[imac]), n. [See Pica, Pie magpie, service-book.] (Print.) A mass of type confusedly mixed or unsorted. [Written also pie.] [1913 Webster]

From The Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48:

Pi Pi (p[imac]), n. [Gr. pi^.] 1. A Greek letter ([Pi], [pi]) corresponding to the Roman letter P. [Webster 1913 Suppl.] 2. Specifically: (Math.) The letter [pi], [Pi], as used to denote the number or quotient approximately expressing the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter; also, the quotient or the ratio itself. The value of the quotient pi, to twenty decimal places, is 3.14159265358979323846 (see note). The number pi is an irrational number, i.e. it cannot be expressed as the quotient of two integers. It is also a transcendental number, i.e. it cannot be expressed as a root of an algebraic equation with a finite number of terms; and from this fact follows the impossibility of the quadrature of the circle by purely algebraic processes, or by the aid of a ruler and compass. [Webster 1913 Suppl. +PJC] Note: The first 1000 decimal digits of the number pi are as displayed below. The digits are arranged as five sets of ten digits per line in twenty lines, proceeding left to right in each line. 3. 1415926535 8979323846 2643383279 5028841971 6939937510 5820974944 5923078164 0628620899 8628034825 3421170679 8214808651 3282306647 0938446095 5058223172 5359408128 4811174502 8410270193 8521105559 6446229489 5493038196 4428810975 6659334461 2847564823 3786783165 2712019091 4564856692 3460348610 4543266482 1339360726 0249141273 7245870066 0631558817 4881520920 9628292540 9171536436 7892590360 0113305305 4882046652 1384146951 9415116094 3305727036 5759591953 0921861173 8193261179 3105118548 0744623799 6274956735 1885752724 8912279381 8301194912 9833673362 4406566430 8602139494 6395224737 1907021798 6094370277 0539217176 2931767523 8467481846 7669405132 0005681271 4526356082 7785771342 7577896091 7363717872 1468440901 2249534301 4654958537 1050792279 6892589235 4201995611 2129021960 8640344181 5981362977 4771309960 5187072113 4999999837 2978049951 0597317328 1609631859 5024459455 3469083026 4252230825 3344685035 2619311881 7101000313 7838752886 5875332083 8142061717 7669147303 5982534904 2875546873 1159562863 8823537875 9375195778 1857780532 1712268066 1300192787 6611195909 2164201989 [Webster 1913 Suppl. +PJC]

What is the pressure in Pa inside a container?
What is the pressure in Pa inside a container if the mercury level in the manometer arm attached to the container stands 18.5cm higher than the mercury level in the manometer arm that is open to the atmosphere? The atmospheric pressure as determined by a barometer is 103,000 Pa. I know that the pressure inside a container has to be lower than 103,000 Pa, since the mercury level in the arm attached to the container is higher, meaning the atmosphere is pushing much harder. And I have to use the formula: pressure in container=height difference + atmospheric pressure. So, I converted 18.5mm into 2466.46 Pa, then added to the 103,000. The answer, then, is 105466.4638. I don't think this is logical, because now, the pressure inside the container is higher, where it should be lower. How would you solve this problem? Should the formula be pressure in container=atmospheric pressure - height difference?

Youir logic is perfect except that the height here is viewed as negative like you said since the external arm is lower. So 103Kpa - 2.47Kpa = Good job of thinking about the answer before solving - it will always benefit you!

What is the different between CPA and PA ?
I am confused between the CPA(Certified Public Accountant) and PA(public Accountant). Do both have different exam requirement or both have to sit for the same CPA Exam?? What is the different in responsibilities and authority between both?? Is that something that CPA can do but not allow for PA?? How many years for each to get certified?? Which is better if I am currently employed in a private sector and do not want to waste two year for getting certified? I live in California and wants answer regarding california CPA.

I can only answer the question as it relates to the state of California. Years ago (I do not know exactly when, but it was decades ago) the state decided to grant the PA designation to accountants working in public accounting that had a requisite amount of experience. With the stroke of a pen, these accountants became PAs. PA licenses are no longer issued. Just because of the laws of nature the number of PAs still in practice continues to shrink (as they retire or die). PAs can do exactly what CPAs can do; it is just that you cannot obtain a PA license. Again, all of this is as it is in California.

PA mud! Any ideas how to get mud completely out of light colored clothes?
Mud in PA!!! My kids love to play outside, but this time of year brings mud. Even tho I preach to them all of the time to wear "play" clothes out side, they don't always listen! My daughter wore a light pink sweat suit out side and got mud all over it. I soaked it immediately and tried to rinse it out. Now I have it soaking in oxy clean. She has ruined other clothes this way, and I've done the same thing and it usually doesn't take it all out. Any other ideas? I do have spray and wash stain remover. I'm not afraid of 'working at it' to get it out! Any ideas?

Dishwasher soap works, if you use the liquid or gel work it into the clothes with a tooth brush, then throw in the washer and add more dishwasher soap, if you use the powder soap make a paste out of it and scrub the soiled area then add the powder to the washer when you wash the clothes, this worked on my sons football uniform. Also lestiol works really well, just pour a little on the stain and scrub, then wash in the washer with lestoil, rinse twice as your clothes will smell like the lestoil, but this will also work well.
