Questions & Answers
How do i set up a PPPoA internet connection in VISTA? Hi,
Im new to Vista and im trying to set up an internet connection.
In the internet connection wizard the only option are 'Set up a broadband PPPoE connection' or 'Set up a dial up connection'
Im in the UK and i need PPPoA. Anyone know how to get to the options to set this up? Ive looked everywhere and cant find anything.
Cheers
I have PPPoA as well. ADSL right?
Try your internet provider. They should definitely be able to help you with this. PPPoA comes up as a choice for me when I install the cd-rom delivered with the router. Sometimes you can reset this also in your configuration settings of the router: 10.0.0.138 (on Alcatel Speedtouch modems).
I need a linux distribution that is light and allows me to do a PPPoe connection to internet? PPPoe is the same thing as fiber optic connection! I used ubuntu, it is an extraordinary linux os but it does not work with vista and it does not let me use pppoe connection
I repeat I need a linux distribution
-That I can run even if I have vista installed
-That allows me to use internet via PPPoe
PPPoe is the same thing as fiber optic connection" is NOT true. PPPoe is used with DSL modems.
All Linux distros can use DSL. If you have Fibre Optic, call your ISP for help, you are doing something wrong.
