What exactly is a print publisher responsible for when it comes to QA of a project?
The binding on a project fell apart, after it was mailed out. The publisher said it was not their responsibility to QA the project before shipping it out. They said it was the responsibility of the printer.
Can anyone help, maybe possible links to answers? I need to know who should have been in charge of the final QA.
The project was a magazine by the way.
Thanks, I will check that out. I had a few yanked and points deducted. One was because I replied to some idiots mindless ramblings, "Take your meds and go to bed!" YH said that was not an answer. It was, it was an implied, you don't know what on earth you are talking about and additionally you're on the moon!"
The only things I believe should be removed are, Threats and very foul language. Other than that the readers can skim the replies or questions and decide whether to read it completely.
I read the "Rules of the road" They state that children as young as 13 may be on. Then they need to hire a hundred more deleters.
I do think it would be good to have an18 and over area so people would feel a little more comfortable with their text.

Would working in QA for a biotech company give me much oppertunity to move to R&D?
I have applied for a QA job with a biotech company (they seem to make ingredients for pharmacuiticles and cosmetics), and my chances look promising, but i think that doing QA for more than about a year would bore me senseless.
Would they be likely to promote/transfer someone from QA to R&D?
Would they be willing to teach me much in the way of new skills which i could use in R&D with universities or other companies? (i particularly want to improve my molecular biology skills but the job involved more microbiology and cell culture)
Would i get to see much of how the company operates or would i just be put in the corner to do something repeditive?
Please list your experience in the field in the refrences section.
I used to work for a biotech company in the R&D group. We often would hire internally from QA before looking elsewhere because we knew the person.
Also the skills learned in QA may be of great value in R&D (I'm a University Prof now and try to bring some of the QA principles into our lab to improve the process, without stiffling ingenuity and innovation)
