Questions & Answers
Can I earn points with Qantas frequent flyer when I buy tickets for my family? Also is it only the one way flight to a destination which earns me points?
You earn points if you fly, i.e., it depends on name on ticket (which is checked against ID) and not on who buys or pays for the ticket. You don't earn if you don't check in.
You earn points for each leg of a journey, i.e., for each boarding pass issued. So, a round-trip ticket will earn you just as many points as two one-way tickets (assuming destinations are the same).
Whats the best credit card for accruing qantas frequent flyer points? Preferably something with a low annual and rewards fee.
Here are a couple of links. Comparing them The AMEX card is better albeit more expensive to join, however ANZ dont give you nearly as many points for your Dollars spent!
Good Luck
I would like to check my Qantas frequent flyer points? @qaa_question
You should go to http://www.qantas.com.au and make login ( you have to create ur profile) on the frequente flyer login box at your top-left side of the page. Also, in the top side of the page you find the frequent flyer opcion click on it and look for what you want to do.
Hope my answer help :)
How many Qantas frequent flyer points do you need to upgrade to 1st class on a flight from Melbourne Does anyone know how many Frequent Flyer points you need to upgrade from Economy Class to First Class on a Qantas flight from Melbourne, Australia to Los Angles, America, in April 2009?
Or have a rough idea?
You can't double upgrade from economy to first class. Inorder to do that, you would have to buy a business class ticket and then use your points to upgrade to first class, which would cost 50000 miles to upgrade from Business to First or 80000 from economy to business, assuming that you have purchased a discounted economy class ticket.
Also, keeping in mind that upgrade availibility is limited, you may not even be able to upgrade yourself if Qantas doesn't release Business/First class upgrade award seats.
