hv got an e ticket of qantas, if transit visa does not arrive on time how can i change the reservati
i am awaiting my transit visas to australia and wish to know generally how long does it take to receive them , they say it takes max 10 working days and as christmas is approaching i am worried.Pls. let me know what daysdoes consulate general office in auckland observe holidays in the month of december. they have received my application on 19th of december and my flight is on 30th of december, what can i do in order to hasten the process? I wish to know that even though the max number of days they say is 10 working days , generally how long does it take to receive the trasit visa?

I am unsure of how long you can expect to wait to get your transit visa from the Australian consulate in Auckland, but my experience with visas (when waiting for a visa from another country in Australia) has been that they generally take 4-5 days to process and then another 2 day for the post. Contact the consulate by phone, I think maybe you can pay an extra fee to have an "express" processing. Otherwise contact Qantas in Auckland for advise.

    travel qantas 737-800?
Ive had a unusual unexpected story... I am from brisbane city australia and in 2000 i travel to melbourne city for the day it was QF611 the other i dont recall but as soon as i buy my online ticket from qantas website.. i choose the date i want to travel which is in 2 months time and the time.. I notice the plane im getting on is the same QF611 the same as i first time got on in the year 2000 to melbourne. I quite dont understand this... even returning back is the same whole thing i did in the year 2000. Its unusual to realise i will be getting on the same plane when i first went to melbourne for holidays.. Someone could explain this? Does this mean the QF611 qantas plane which is a 737-800 going to look the same interior as i was on it in the year 2000? I wonder if ill seat on the same seat i did in 2000. It might be abit silly to seat on the same seat i did.. Unless this plane flys back and forum daily ? same plane for years. let me know people plzzz thank u I didnt realise this until i was searching for the past history ticket flights i was looking at.. as i keep them all my tickets over the years and realise today that the current flight ill get on by qantas is the same plane QF611 i was on it in the year 2000 same route.. brisbane to melbourne and returning will be exact the same plane number as i did in 2000. Is this unusual or not really? I gues this would bring me memories i suppose on the same plane number and first time to melbourne which is now gonna be my second time to melbourne.. Memories i suppose :) but might sound abit silly if i choose the same seat i was seating on 8 years ago.. Might sound abit silly?

This is the flight number and designates the route and timing of the flight , it does not mean that you will be travelling in the same aircraft. Qantas currently operates 34 737-800s All Qantas aircraft have a registration number starting with VN

qantas airbus on price and when ?
Why QANTAS WEBSITE does not show any price or such available for the new AIRBUS ? the airbus just arrived this sept 2008.. i rpesume the airbus begings this year ? If yes how come theres no price available for airbus to go on holidays ???? Without it how are the airbus going to do everyday business without able to get price on destinations for the new double deker airbus qantas! also if you could.. because the airbus may just cost alittle bit of money.... Does this mean that the rest of the jumbo planes for economic and business class will reduce the price down alot due to the fact of the all whole new airbus ? so the airbus will cost more. But what about a jumbo plane qantas 747-400 for economic and buiness ? from 1,000 seat to just 500.00 off on business class... because there is a better plane called the airbus, Who knows please confirm me with all that Ill give good 5star rating so best of luck.

The Airbus takes its first commercial passenger trip to Los Angeles (ex Sydney) on Wednesday (1 October). Go to the Qantas website, and check out the flights to and from Los Angeles. The Qantas website tells you which aircraft are servicing which flight. We only have the one Airbus at the moment, so it's potluck getting onboard. If you want to fly to London, you'll have to wait until the next one arrives. I believe Qantas announced this Airbus will only be flying between Sydney/Los Angeles initially. Oh... and the airfare doesn't change because the aircraft does. It will be the same whether it's the A380 or a 747.
