What is Microsoft QRL Sever Desktop Engine, and what does it do?
Microsoft QRL Sever Desktop Engine has been trying to install its self on my computer i have been saying no because i don't know what it does so can someone tell me what it does and whether my computer needs it because if it doesn't need it i will uninstall it?
Google has no trace of either Microsoft QRL Sever Desktop Engine, or Microsoft QRL *Server *Desktop Engine. It suggests, instead, Microsoft *SQL* Server Desktop Engine, which is a legitimate program - although I can see no circumstances in which it would "try to install itself" on your computer.
If you have given us the name accurately, it sounds like a nasty of some sort, because things which originate in, for instance, Far East companies are often mis-spelt, as this is. However, if it was a virus, I would expect to have found a reference to it *somewhere* on the web!
If you haven't let it install, you don't need to uninstall it; what you do need to figure out is what is trying to install it, and home in on that as the cause of the installation attempts.
But if you decide, the next time that it pops up and you get to check it, that the name "Microsoft QRL Sever Desktop Engine" isn't 100% accurate, please do tell us exactly what the name of it is, and we might be able to track something down!
