What is the difference Between the Q6600 and QX6700 except the clock speed?
The two quad core processors have similar performance. the Q6600 is cheaper then QX6700.... now the question is WHATS the main diffrence.. why are Extreme edition processors are more expenceive. the X6800 is also very expencive. WHATS ESPECIAL ABOUT THE EXTREME SERIES???. the other C2D and C2Q and easyly perform much better then them wid a lill bit of over clocking. on default cooling.

)) honestly - only clock speed.. more honestly - multiplier: 6600 (bus clock 266 x multiplier 9) 6700 (bus clock 266 x multiplier 10) really, if u know how to deal with u can by the cheaper 6600 and overclock it. just remember that u need good cooling and appropriate memory to coordinate the memory clock and overclocked bus clock - the ratio of memory clock and bus clock for the best performance - 1/1.. the best way - to overclock bus to 400 and choose DDR-II 6400(800Mhz).. also u can use this: http://compare.intel.com/pcc/default.aspx?familyID=1&culture=en-US for more info..)) or smthin' like this: http://www.helpoverclocking.com/english/ if u are interested in overclocking

Got Intel core 2 extreme qx6700 quad processor! what motherboard to get?
I Got the Intel core 2 extreme qx6700 quad 2.66ghz processor for very cheap, but what motherboard should i get to use it with? I have read like the ASUS STRIKER, and NFORCE 680i sli, but i do not know the differnce only in price? what board and model would be perfect for this proceesor as well as what type of memory then would be used?

The ASUS Striker Extreme is highly rated and feature rich - can't go wrong with it, or virtually any of the 680i SLI boards either. For RAM, you should get some good stuff, rather than run-of-the-mill DDR2-800. Look for some DDR2-1200. You'll pay premium for it, but you might as well feed that beast the best.
