Questions & Answers
How long did it take you to do the Race for Life, Walking? Hiya, I've signed up to do the race for life this year, I've bits of metal holding my knees , hips and pelvis together, i walk with a limp and have to take painkillers, but i know i can do this else i wouldn't of signed up. Am gently incressing my walking everyday, but wanted to know, firslty how long it took those of you whom have walked it before. Also i worry i'm going to be really slow, do you think that will be a problem, i don't wanna embaresse myself and be last really!
Hi, i now have a page which you can view and sponsor me on
http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/JillLocke
Please sponsor me if you can! Thank You!
Good for you! I recently completed a 10k walking in 1hr 20minutes but a lot of people came in at about two hours. Don't worry about being really slow as that is not the point. Find friends to train with and get plenty of sponsorship and your contribution will be well appreciated. Is it possible to sponsor you on line? If so, could you add as additional information, thanks.
Good luck and enjoy yourself!
In should have added that in the 10k I attempted there were no prizes for finishing first, but the lady who raised the most sponsorship was announced before the start and had her picture in the local paper.
Does everybody run in the charity Race for life ? Hi im thinking about doing race for life 2008 i know on the website it says you can walk but i dont want to be like the only person walking
So do most people run , jog or walk?
& will i look like an utter idiot if i walk?
thanks
A majority walk it sweety & that's the beauty of it. There are women of all ages, shapes, sizes & fitness levels I enjoy running but for the Race For Life I choose to walk. You get to meet so many fantastic ladies along the way. everyone is frindly & we all chat & support each other. It also gives you time to read some of the back notes that people have pinned to them. The first race I did will always stick in mind because I saw a litle girl of about 2 with a sign that said "I'm racing for my Mummy" & the lady holding her hand who quite clearly had cancer had a sign that said "I'm Mummy". It was very moving.
This year I'm racing for James, he was my son's best friend who sadly died age 13 two years ago.
To all of you who are also racing, for whatever reason, good luck, have fun & remember you're amazing.
What would a "human" say to a "cow" who saved the human race/life? ("PLEASE DON'T MURDER and EAT ME"~ should already be a given.)
pennstate.20fr.com
"or my husband and child"
Did you ever think that "moo" may be some form of "cry" like a woman saying "no"? I mean I do not know if cows can
If the sentiments of the people on here are real, well they are so rude...and you know what if I had not awakened...well I may be just as RUDE today myself.....
BOTH SIDES NOW
not everyone is rude, just a heavy portion of people, seemingly everytime anyone asks a question which involves "higher compassion".
WHAT IS THE ENEMY?
This is a serious issue, those "whackjobs" who think it is OK to "involuntarilly milk a cow" while on the other hand they speak of how murder of animals is wrong well they are as I said "whack jobs". I do not wish to be raped or murdered at all thank you very much... that guy with the brain tissue sample will clearly see the DAMAGE. Drink hemp or soy or rice or wheat/grain beverages.... peace
thank you and moooh power to you!
