hi can someone PLEASE tell me what the price is for sending something in a Rigid Tube first class.

Depends on the weight. Go to www.royalmail.com and they will tell you. Tubes are classed as a "packet" rather than a large letter.

royal mail are striking and i need to send small packages does anyone know of a delivery service that sends mail similar prices to royal mail, i need to send small packages like clothes etc.. some are noramally around £1 with royal mail. help...

I suppose other ones you'll want to look into are Home Delivery, DHS, UPS, though you are never going to get the same price you would from Royal Mail.
Royal Mail Size Limits - Abroad?
As these newish royal mail size limits count for sending letters and parcels to the UK. Does this include sending parcels abroad via Airmail ?????
As the Royal Mail price guide has not changed at http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=400036&mediaId=400347&_requestid=61185
but allready has things such as letters, small packets before the new limits came in.
Letter or Packet

Maximum size Length, width and depth combined - 900mm
Greatest single dimension - 600mm
Postcard
Minimum size 90mm x 140mm
Maximum size 120mm x 235mm
