How come when you buy bread or bread rolls from safeway (australia) the ones they bake in store, there is no nutrition table on them? Does anyone know how i can get this information?

I want to make clam chowder but cannot find clams in a can in Australia? Does anyone know where I can buy, like at Coles or Safeway? Thanks.
You will be better off going to a fish market to buy clams. Some large shopping centres have them but the best ones are usually found along the coast or harbours. Not sure if SA has a fish co-op that supplies both hot and cold seafood to the public fresh from the catch of the day. Obviously not all products are available all year round as they are seasonal. Best to ask the fish monger to see when he/she gets them in and when they are their best. He/She may also be able to suggest an alternative like maybe vongole, I know its not quite the same thing.
Sometimes in the refrigerated section of the supermarket they sell things like smoked/unsmoked mussels, oysters, and fish prepackaged. I have never seen clams but at the same time neither have I looked for them. Good luck in finding what you need and how about sharing some of that chowder? ^.^
