SDHC card does not show up on my camera or computer. How can i fix this problem?
My SDHC card is not working. It is not showing up on my camera or my computer. I want to know what could possibly be wrong with the card. Is it possible that i erased something from the card which is why it is not working. The camera will not let me format the card. I even put the card in a card reader, and the card reader doesn't show up.
If you keep care of it, presuming right temperature and such, it will last a life time. (Ignoring the probability of it being defective)
Room temperature. If you live in a very moist and damp area you need to make sure it does not sit in storage and be open to such humidity.
Can I use a PNY 4 gig SDHC memory card with the Canon PowerShot A570 IS Digital Camera?
I was wanting to buy a regular 2 gig SD card for my new camera, but found a 4 gig SDHC card for just 10 bucks more. I have heard there are some compatability issues with SDHC card. Will I have a problem with this card for my camera?
According to the Canon website, the A570 IS supports the SD, SDHC, and MMC memory card standards.
SD: Secure Digital standard card supports capacities up to 2 GB.
SDHC: Secure Digital High Capacity currently supports capacities up to 32 GB.
MMC: MultiMedia Card supports capacities up to 1 GB.
If the PNY card doesn't work, it's because it's off from the standard somehow. But the Canon A570 IS will accept an SDHC card and is supposed to work with it.
