I have bought sony vaio laptop from USA with international guarantee but in India Sony repair center
I have bought Sony Vaio laptop from USA with international guarantee but in India service centre of Sony Vaio refuses to service it as it is bought from USA. What should I do ?
International guarantee means where ever that products are selling they will give support . if that model is not getting sold in India means , you are not going to get support from them
If I buy a sony VAio computer in the USA will it work on United Kingdom?

If you do not mind having a USA keyboard. If you do not mind HUNTING down the proper power cord to make it work. if you don't mind going through a terrible hassle if the Sony does not work when you get to the UK. You see, Sony will give you a real run-around if it gets to the UK and you discover that something is wrong with it.
You see, if you lived in the STATES, you would buy from a reputable dealer that would support you if the darn thing didn't work. Stores like Staples and Costco would even take it back. But from across the POND, you won't get that kind of support. You will end up paying BIG TIME.
So maybe you should just buy a nice laptop when you return to your home in the UK.

How do I Reinstall Windows XP OEM on my Sony Vaio PCVRX860 Computer when I just replaced the bad mot
I have all the Recovery disks that came with the computer. I called Sony and they wanted $286 for the mother board witch is ridiculous. So I was lucky to get a new board at Comp Usa for $60.00 . I do not want to have to buy a new operating system when I have this one that should be able to transfer because of a broken motherboard.
First thing first, is the chip set for the new motherboard is the same as the old motherboard?
if yes, then it is easy. Just re-use back the harddisk. When it start up, remove all the old drivers and install all new drivers that comes with the new motherboard. It should be done within minutes.
You ONLY need to reinstall the XP if the motherboard are having the different chipset. To re-install the XP just insert the OEM XP disk into the cd-ROM drive and reboot the system.
The installation will detect the present of XP in your system. Option for you to select should have re-install or repair. Please select re-install.
